black (ali) (literally bee-like) braided (vENulu) celestial (sura) dancing girls (vAra) (vArayali), with red bimba fruit like lips (adharulagu) (bimbAdharulagu), dance (nATyamulu ADaga) (nATyamulADaga),

the terror (bhImuni) of the enemies (ripu) of celestials (sura),
who is beyond (atItuni) the three qualities (tri-guNa) (tri-guNAtItuni),
whose wishes (kAma) (kAmuni) are accomplished (pUrNa),
who is of consciousness (cit) natured (maya) (cin-maya) form (rUpuni),
the repository (dhAmuni) of virtues (sad-guNa) -

as the Lord is charmingly (celuvu onda) (celuvonda) in audience (koluvu uNDaga) (koluvuNDaga) on (paini) the splendid (SrImat) golden (kanakapu) cradle (toTla),
as sItA – who bestows (dAyakiyau) fruits (phala) of wishes (kAmita) of devotees – swells with pride (uppongaga) beholding (kani) (kaniyuppongaga) Her consort (kAntuni), and
as this tyAgarAja (tyAgarAju) – son (tanayaDau) of SrI rama brahma –rocks (Ucaga) the cradle as he (tA) sings (pADucunu) (pADucunUcaga),
while even the inertial (tAmasa) quality (guNa) less (rahita) sages (munulaku) stand (nilvaga) stupefied (bhramasi) as it is beyond their capacity (taramu gAkanE) to extol (pogaDa) the Lord?
