O Bearer of mandara Mountain! O rAghava! O King of Solar dynasty! O Incomparable Lord! O Supreme Lord! O Bestower of Boons! O Lord whose Lotus Feet are worshipped by tyAgarAja!

You go after swearing by me that ‘I shall come fast and not remain there’.

If You are not there when I want to see You, tears will flow profusely – like a canal;
If there is delay in Your arrival, I will have no security;
If You are not there on the couch of bliss, every minutue will seem like an aeon;
Others might happen to laugh at me when I am perplexed not finding You;
If You are not near me, everything - my supreme devotion and my whole life – might happen to be (wasted being) at the disposal of the demons;

You go after swearing by me, in front of Lord of Oceans, that ‘I shall come fast and not remain there’.
