4 – poyyenu – poyyeni. As ‘poyyenu’ is the correct usage, it has been adopted.

1 – ADudAmu – this may either mean 'speak' or 'play'. However, in view of the ensuing word 'vEDi' (beseeching), 'speak' seems to be appropriate.
The word 'ammA' appearing in caraNa 4 (kAdaTavammA, teliyadammA) and caraNa 8 (rArammA, tOyarammA) is a way of speaking to and among females, and cannot be translated separately.
This kRti is part of the dance-drama ‘nauka caritraM’ – The Boat Story. The gOpis meet kRshNa at the yamunA river and contemplate travel in a boat.
