O Father (taNDri) of Lord (dEvara) brahmA (bomma)! as this tyAgarAja extols (sannuti sEyaga) You whole-heartedly (sammatamuna), may You swing to the lullaby -
along with Your younger brothers (tammulatOnu) with much (mIra) display (pammina) of mirth (vEDuka),
along with that (A) sItA – daughter (Atmaja) of King janaka (janakAtmajatOnu) who offers (osagu) scented (kammani) betel leaves (viDemu) (viDemosaguyA), and
along with (tODanu) the kings – lords (ISulu) of earth (bhUmi) (bhUmISula).

Variations - (Pathanthara)
1 – daivamA – daivamA rAma.
2 – tiNDi – diNDi – diNDu : ‘tiNDi’ is the appropriate word in conjunction with ‘gAli’.
In some books, caraNa has been split as two caraNas – first two lines as first caraNa, and second two lines as second caraNa.
