While the heaven (divi) is agitated (tattaramu paDucunu uNDagA) (paDucunuNDagA) because,
the most discriminating (su-vivEkulaina) Lord brahmA and others (Adi) (brahmAdi),
hearing (vini) about Your (nI) elegance (sogasu) who is established (nelakonna) in the Earth (bhuvilO) at the sacred (varamau) and auspicious (SrImat) Adi pura (puramuna) (SrImad-Adi) kshEtra,
getting (kUDi) together (gumpu) fervently yearning (karagucu) (literally melting) in their minds (madilo) whether (ani) it would be possible (kalugunA) (kalugunAyani) (for them) to behold (kanungona) Your Friday (kavi vAsarapu) service (sEva),
O Mother tripura sundari – reliever (hAriNi) of the sufferings (Arti) of the humble (dIna) people (jana) (janArti)! I had the privilege of beholding Your divine form.
(While brahmA and others were, as yet, yearning to behold Your Friday service, I had the privilege of beholding Your divine form.)

O Mother (amma)! Wherever (tAvuna) there is (kaligina) an assembly (sabha), I shall extol (pogaDudunu) (pogaDudunamma) that (ani), in this kali (kalilO) yuga, You are the Protector (rakshaki) (rakshakiyani) of the humble (dIna);
O Ocean (sAgari) of compassion (karuNA) endowed with gentle (sa-lalita) qualities (guNa)! O Mother (ammA)! who (evaru) is equal (sATi) (sATiyevarammA) to You (nI)?
Further (mari), while my (nA) mind (manasu) was anxious (uNDaga) whether (ani), for having (anduku) come (vaccina)(vaccinanduku) (all the way) here, with much weariness (alasi), it would attain (jendunA) (jendunAyaniyuNDaga) peace (hAyi),
O Charming (muddu) Mother tripura sundari served (koluvu) by celestial (sura) damsels (satulu), charmingly (kala kalamani), in a line (varusagA), on the occasion of Friday (Sukra vArapu)!
I had the privilege of beholding Your divine form.
(I came all the way weary and anxious whether I will get peace of mind. Then, I behold Your charming form as the celestial damsels salute You on the occasion of Friday service.)

O Mother (talli) who bore (kanna) me (nannu)! O Mother (amma)! Today (nADu) my (nA) life (janmanu) has attained its purpose (saphalamu Ayenu) (saphalamAyenamma);
O Blue-Lotus (vanaja) Eyed (nayana)!
like (vale) wealth (paikamu) (literally money) for a down-right (ghana) pauper (daridruniki), and
like (vale) water or rain (jalamu) for the wilting (eNDu) crops (pairulaku), and
O Bestower (dAyaki) of auspiciousness (Subha)! O Sister (sOdari) of vishNu - Father (janakuni) of cupid (kAma)! O Mother gauri who has captivated (hara) the mind (manas) (manO-hara) of this tyAgarAja!
O Charming mother! now (ipuDu), I had the privilege of beholding Your divine form, as a feast (paNDuvaga) to my eyes (kanula).

Variations - (Pathanthara)
1dorikenamma - dorikenamma O mahA tripura (sundari).

2kaTAksha balamO – kaTAksha phalamO : ‘balamO’ seems to be more appropriate and has been adopted.

5nADu – (that day) - this is how it is given in all the books. However, from the context, the correct words seems to be ‘nEDu’ (today).

6tyAgarAja – tyAgarAju : As ‘tyAgarAja’ is appropriate, the same has been adopted.

7gauri – gairi SrI tripura (sundari).
