I shall, with understanding, propitiate by worshipping -

I shall, with understanding, propitiate by worshipping -
One who has (gala vAni) a smiling (nagu) face (mOmu),
the stealer (haruni) of my (nA) heart (manas) (manO-haruni),
the Hero (SUruni) ruling (Elu) the Universe (jagamu) (jagamElu), and
the suitor (varuni) of janakI.

SrI vAsudEvuni sItA rAghavuni (nagu)

I shall, with understanding, propitiate by worshipping –
the Lord (dEvuni) of celestials (dEva) and others (Adi) (dEvAdi),
the divinely (divya) beautiful (sundaruni) One,
the Lord SrI vAsudEva (vAsudEvuni), and
the Lord rAghava (rAghavuni) - the consort of sItA.

su-jnAna nidhini sOma sUrya lOcanuni
ajnAna tamamunu aNacu bhAskaruni (nagu)

I shall, with understanding, propitiate by worshipping -
the treasure (nidhini) of true knowledge (su-jnAna),
One who has moon (sOma) and the Sun (sUrya) as His eyes (lOcanuni), and
the Sun (bhaskara) (bhAskaruni) who dispels (aNacu) (literally subdues) the darkness (tamamunu) of ignorance (ajnAna).
caraNam 3
nirmala-AkAruni nikhila-agha haruni
dharma-Adi mOkshambu daya cEyu ghanuni (nagu)

I shall, with understanding, propitiate by worshipping –
One with blemish-less (nirmala) form (AkAruni) (nirmalAkAruni),
the destroyer (haruni) of entire (nikhila) sins (agha) (nikhilAgha), and
the Eminent One (ghanuni) who kindly bestows (daya cEyu) (the results of) purushArtha – beginning with (Adi) righteous conduct (dharma) (dharmAdi) to liberation (mOkshambu).
caraNam 4
bOdhatO palumAru pUjinci nEnu-
ArAdhintu SrI tyAgarAja sannutuni (nagu)

I (nEnu) shall propitiate (ArAdhintu) (nEnArAdhintu) the Auspicious (SrI) Lord well-praised (sannutuni) by this tyAgarAja with understanding (bOdhatO) by worshipping (pUjinci) Him constantly (palumAru) (literally often).

1vAsudEva - indwelling Supreme Lord.

General – the layout of the kRti is such that the caraNa 4 needs to be added to pallavi and each other caraNa in order to complete sense. Therefore, it is not appropriate to sing pallavi or caraNas 1 to 3 independently.
