rAjIva-akshuni tyAgarAja nutuni jUDa (kamala)

Behold! brahmA – whose hands (bAhuDu) stretch as far as His knees (AjAnu) and who is well-praised (vinutuDu) by indra – Lord (indra) of celestials (amara) (amarEndra) - is proceeding to have darSan (jUDa) of Lord hari - the Lotus (rAjiva) Eyed (akshuni) (rAjIvAkshuni) praised (nutuni) by this tyAgarAja.

1 - AjAnu bAhuDu – amarEndra vinutuDu – In the books, these two epithets seem to have been attributed to Lord hari. The next two epithets – ‘rAjIvAkshuni’ and ‘tyAgarAja nutuni’, referring to Lord hari - have suffix ‘ni’ (Him). On the other hand, the earlier two have suffix ‘Du’ (He) which gives them subject - object relationship between these two sets of epithets. Accordingly, the first two refer to brahmA and not to Lord hari.

This kRti forms part of dance-drama ‘prahlAda bhakti vijayaM’. In this kRti, zrI tyAgarAja depicts how brahmA left for the sea-shore to witness the conversation between Lord hari and prahlAda.
