Is this the purpose for which this body was nurtured?

Is this the purpose for which all nurtured this body so that, 'without Lord hari’s arrival, I would undergo suffering, amidst all, heart-broken'?

May be my body was very tough even for the snakes;
I was thinking that probably it was some other reason (that the snakes could not kill me);

Is this the purpose for which I nurtured this body?

Or whether they (snakes) forgave me that ‘why should we take the blame’?
otherwise, this body is not (made of) jaggery; it will not withstand (snake bite);

Is this the purpose for which the Lord nurtured this body?

Even after seeing my success, people would not believe God;

Is this the purpose for which He - the resplendent Lord – bestower of boons on tyAgarAja – nurtured this body?

otherwise (lEka), this body (tanuvu) is not (kAdu) (made of) jaggery (bellamu); it will not withstand (tALadu) (snake bite);

Even after seeing (jUci) my (nA) success (jayamunu), people would not believe (nammarE) God (dEvuni);

² – andaru indukA – In my opinion, ‘andaru’ here might mean ‘garuDa’ and ‘varuNa’; varuNa retrieved prahlAda from the ocean floor and garuDa removed the nAga pASa with which prahlAda was bound and thrown into the ocean.

³ – tanuvu bellamu kAdu – The exact purpose of use of the word ‘bellamu’ (jaggery) is not clear.
