1 – Sivuniki tAmasa guNamicci – It has been brought out in some books that after assigning tAmasa and rAjasa qualities to Siva and brahmA respectively, SrI rAma retained ‘sattva guNa' for Himself. This is an appropriate observation.
sRshTi (projection), sthiti (sustenance) and laya (in-folding) are the roles of the Trinity - brahmA, vishNu and Siva respectively and the qualities attached to these actions are 'rAjasa', 'sattva' and 'tAmasa' respectively.
Here SrI tyAgarAja states that rAma – the paramAtma – has assigned himself – as vishNu (as part of Trinity) – the role of sustenance.
